An evening of opera choruses
Following the overwhelming success of last year’s opera night, Jersey Cheshire Home is delighted to announce another series of enchanting performances in conjunction with the Jersey Gilbert & Sullivan Society; An Evening of Opera Choruses.
Guests are invited to enjoy a memorable night filled with inspiring music and community spirit. Each performance begins at 7:00pm with a warm welcome of bubbles and canapés at Jersey Cheshire Home.
The upcoming performances will feature a selection of enchanting opera choruses brought to life by a talented group of local amateur opera singers. This year’s series once again highlights the dedication and enthusiasm of Richard Joynt and all involved, including some residents and staff from Jersey Cheshire Home, who are preparing to rehearse under the expert guidance of vocal coach Sue De Gruchy.
Donna Abel, CEO of Jersey Cheshire Home, shared her excitement: “Putting on sophisticated and amazing performances like these provides unique opportunities for everyone involved, bringing our community together in celebration and support. It really does showcase the talent that is on island. The residents and staff are thrilled to take a small part and to perform for the public alongside talented amateur opera singers. We are extremely grateful for the support of Richard from Highvern and also for Evelyn Partners, whose sponsorship makes it possible for us to create these experiences.”
Continuing she said: “This series of events is not just entertainment, it’s an empowering and inclusive effort that enriches the lives of our residents, showcases our Home, demonstrating there is life after disability. The proceeds from every ticket purchased will contribute directly to the mission of our charity to enhance the lives of islanders with disabilities.”
