AI Innovation Expo
Global technology leaders and Channel Islands businesses will share one stage at Beau Sejour on Friday 23 October, as the island’s AI Sprint reaches its halfway point.
Guernsey’s business community will gather at Beau Sejour on Friday 23 October for the AI Innovation Expo, a full day of keynote talks, live demonstrations and exhibitor stands focused on how organisations are using artificial intelligence right now.
Speakers from Microsoft, AWS, Google and Kaseya will share what is changing in AI and how organisations around the world are putting it to work. On the expo floor, Channel Islands businesses will demonstrate the tools and use cases they are already running, with time set aside for questions, conversations and hands-on demos.
The Sprint sessions are focused on learning, but the Expo gives people the opportunity to meet local businesses, talk about their products and services, and learn more about local expertise.
Vincent Le Gallez, founder of Baltimore Limited and host of the AI Innovation Expo, said: “Guernsey has a strong history of adapting and innovating, and AI is a real opportunity for local organisations to do more with less. The Expo brings industry giants together to share their vision and real examples of how AI is shaping the future, while also giving Channel Islands exhibitors a platform to show how they are putting AI to work today. The aim is to spark positive, practical conversations and help organisations that are earlier in their AI journey take confident next steps.”
Katie Inder, Programme Manager for the Guernsey AI Sprint, said: “Over 1,000 people signed up before the Sprint even began, which tells us the island is ready to move from curiosity to action. The Expo is where that energy meets the businesses who can help. We’d encourage anyone who has been to a Sprint session so far to come along and see what comes next.”
Visitors will leave with an inside view of what some of the world’s biggest technology companies are working on at the forefront of AI, alongside a clearer picture of what it can do for their own organisation and who on the island can help them get started.
