Forensic Accounting: Matrimonial & Trust Investigations Breakfast Seminar

Grant Thornton is holding a breakfast seminar on 31 October 2023 looking at Forensic Accounting: Matrimonial & Trust Investigations.

The seminar will provide an opportunity for professionals to learn more about best practices we have experienced in this field.

Some of the key areas which will be covered are:

• The role of forensic accountants in divorce proceedings;
• Identifying and valuing marital assets;
• Tracing hidden assets or income;
• Types of trust investigations and engagements undertaken by forensic accountants;
• Issues commonly encountered in relation to trusts;
• Case studies illustrating successful investigative methodologies.

The speakers at this seminar are Ben Rhodes, Director, Grant Thornton Guernsey and Samuel Hilton, Manager, Grant Thornton Guernsey. Their forensic assignments are often specifically focussed on fraud investigation, identification of assets, tracing exercises, enforcement of judgments and recovery of assets for those who have suffered financial loss, or have a claim against another party.

Ben Rhodes – Director, Recovery & Reorganisation

Ben is a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is a Certified Fraud Examiner and Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years of experience in forensic investigations with a specific focus on trust matters.

Samuel Hilton – Manager, Recovery & Reorganisation

Samuel is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and Chartered Accountant with 10 years’ experience of dealing with complex, contentious assignments.
