A free interactive webinar will be held on 17th February exploring the importance of internal communications during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
The one-hour webinar, ‘Internal Communication – Covid and beyond’, will focus on the integral part internal communication plays in driving employee engagement for business survival and success.
The session will offer practical tips for business leaders, HR teams and communication professionals dealing with the sudden lockdown enforced in Guernsey within hours on Saturday 23rd January and offer advice on how to achieve results over the longer term.
The webinar will be delivered by industry communication experts Brooke Kenyon, co-owner and managing director, client services – Orchard PR, Linda Rolf, director – Linda Rolf Associates and John Ioannou Droushiotis, HR consultant – Focus HR Solutions.
Brooke Kenyon said: “Internal communications have always played a significant, albeit more subtle, role in communications strategy but never has its importance been more emphasised since the start of the pandemic. A global move to virtual working, coupled with immense change, complexity and uncertainty, has meant that communicating really well with your workforce is absolutely imperative”.
Linda Rolf added: “Through working with businesses to build and strengthen their internal communications I know the impact that the right strategy can have. Now we are in our second lockdown as an island, it’s an ideal time to share best practice on communicating internally during a pandemic and to look at what more you can do to engage your people in the long term”.
John Ioannou-Droushiotis said: “As an HR professional, my focus is always centred on the people within a business and ensuring each employee feels valued, capable of delivering their objectives and engaged with their job. With lockdown testing employees in these areas, great internal communication is essential”.
The webinar is taking place via Teams at 11am on Wednesday 17 February. Anyone interested in attending can register their interest here.
