Deloitte’s Channel Islands Private Tax team is hosting its second International Trust Tax Conference via Zoom at 12.30 pm on Monday 28th June.
This year, the conference will host a range of speakers from Deloitte’s international team of experts, including Partner Chris Horton, who spoke recently at the Guernsey Finance US Private Wealth Virtual Roadshow.
Chris will be providing an update on the proposed US tax changes and how these could impact trusts, in particular as a result of the new presidency.
Presenters will also focus on the French 2021 trust news and provide an update on the impact of the new Double Tax Treaties between the UK and the Crown Dependencies.
In addition, each speaker will be providing a general update from their jurisdiction commenting on the short and possible long-term changes arising from the pandemic and how this is inevitably a key focus of tax authorities as they come under pressure to balance their books.
Tax Partner at Deloitte, Jo Huxtable, said: “Following the success of our International Tax Debate a few weeks ago, we are thrilled to host our second annual International Trust Tax conference. Due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic, this conference will be a short, sharp webinar, where attendees can hear from a range of Deloitte’s international Directors and Partners.
“The conference is aimed at those administering trusts and structures that have touchpoints in France, the USA and the UK, three jurisdictions of interest from last year’s conference.”
The International Trust Tax Conference speakers from Deloitte include:
- James Stevens, Director, Trusts UK
- Christopher Horton, Partner, US/UK High Net Worth UK
- Svetlana Ivaniuk, Associate Director, US/UK High Net Worth UK
- Orianne Acheriteguy, Partner, Global Rewards Paris
