Fancy doing your bit throughout Dementia Awareness Week from 15th to 21st May?
#GetYourPurpleOn is on Friday 21st May – join Dementia Jersey and wear purple!
Dementia Jersey are the only charity that exists locally to support those affected by dementia. The small team packs a lot of ‘Purple punch’ and are encouraging people to get involved so they can ensure islanders know who they are, so they can offer a helping hand and an arm around the shoulder when it’s needed most.
The charities Fundraising and Engagement coordinator Stacey Baxter said: “Join us to raise awareness by changing up your wardrobe for just one day, wear a little bit of purple or go all out and wear everything purple!
“Whether you’re working from home in your PJ’s, in the office, at school, out walking the dog, join in and do your bit to help us make Jersey as purple as possible.
“Purple is our charity’s key colour so throughout awareness week, we are using our best efforts with this colour to help raise awareness. We want islanders to know who we are and encourage islanders to learn about dementia, so we can reach our aim in making Jersey a truly dementia friendly island.”
