Guernsey’s environmental expert agency, ESI Monitor, has won a prestigious Energy Globe Award for its Environmental Business Operations Framework.
The Energy Globe is an environmental award presented to organisations which deliver innovative and sustainable projects that provide solutions to environmental problems, especially the reduction of emissions and pollution. The awards are distributed by nation, across 180 different countries. ESI Monitor’s project is Guernsey’s one and only winning entry.
ESI Monitor’s submission was the Environmental Business Operations Framework, a digital portal designed to lead businesses through environmental impact minimisation. Benchmarking emissions and charting improvements over time is a key part of the process. Framework users are actively measuring, minimising, managing, planning, and benchmarking their performance to chart their path to net zero, based on data. One hundred and twenty organisations across fourteen countries are currently enrolled into the programme.
Ian Corder, Director of Operations and Standards at ESI Monitor said: “We are proud to have achieved such a prestigious global award. The Energy Globe Awards are a major player in terms of sustainability and environmental impact, and our award is a great way to demonstrate our credibility as a sustainable framework consultant.
“The EBOA has been a great success both across the Bailiwick and beyond. I look forward to continuing to sign new clients and measure their environmental impact in a realistic and accurate manner”.
