The Eat Drink and Be Local Street Parties will return to St Peter Port’s seafront this summer and are inviting stallholders to book their pitches.
The Street Parties celebrate and promote all that’s grown, caught, reared, produced or harvested within the Bailiwick, with a wide selection of food, drink, artisan and craft stalls showcasing local produce and skills accompanied by live music from local musicians.
The Eat Drink and Be Local (EDABL) committee is encouraging anyone involved with local produce to book a pitch for one or more of their four events which will take place over the summer. The dates are Sundays 5 May, 16 June, 28 July and 25 August and each will run from 10am to 5pm.
Luke Wheadon, Chair of EDABL, said: ‘The EDABL Street Parties are a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate the thriving food and drink sector in Guernsey and our talented local makers. We’re keen to hear from new producers or if our current pitch holders have any new products, as this is a perfect opportunity to bring them to market and promote them. Please get in touch as we’d love you to come and try one of the events and see how you get on.’
Artisan and craft stalls will fill the seafront and all the food and drink stalls are positioned on the Crown Pier. Many of the seafront restaurants and bars will open their al fresco areas as well, which only adds to the festival atmosphere.
