easyJet is launching a new service from Jersey to Edinburgh.
It will operate twice weekly throughout the summer season, in addition to the existing Jersey to Glasgow link.
In total, easyJet will operate to 8 UK destinations: Belfast, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle, London Gatwick, London Luton and London Southend.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We’re really pleased to be adding even more destinations to our Jersey network and to be putting flights on sale today, allowing our customers to book early and take advantage of our lowest fares for both business and leisure travel.”
“We’re committed to providing even more choice for our customers in Jersey and Scotland and the addition of this new route will help us to deliver long term, sustainable growth, providing passengers with a greater range of destinations, all with low fares and great service.”
Myra Shacklady, from Ports of Jersey, said: “This is great news to start 2018, which is a very significant year for both easyJet, Jersey Airport and Visit Jersey as it marks the 10th anniversary since the airline first started services in and out of the Island. The introduction of its eighth service I believe, clearly demonstrates easyJet’s continuing commitment and confidence in Jersey.”
Senator Lyndon Farnham, Jersey’s Tourism Minister, said: “I am delighted that easyJet is continuing to invest in routes to and from Jersey. The new link to Edinburgh will provide further opportunities to grow our visitor economy as well as providing important links for islanders.”
Tickets are now on sale, starting at £9.66, from the easyJet website.
