Organisers have announced that registration is now open for those wishing to take part in next year’s Saffery Rotary Walk.
Individual walkers are being encouraged to sign up promptly to benefit from the 20% ‘Early Bird’ registration discount.
The 2024 walk registration fee is £40 but those acting quickly can register for just £32.
The Walk will take place on Saturday 8th June 2024, where walkers can take on the challenge individually or as part of a relay team.
As one of Guernsey’s largest charity fundraising events, the Saffery Rotary Walk has supported hundreds of local charities having donated more than £1 million over its twenty-five-year duration.
Saffery Trust Director, Lisa Vizia said: “There is no better time to register for the 2024 Saffery Rotary Walk. Not only can you benefit from the early bird discounted rate, but your early commitment will mean you can begin your preparation and training in plenty of time for the Walk in June.
“Last year’s milestone walk was a record-breaking year, and we know our island will continue their astounding efforts to raise money for worthwhile causes across the Bailiwick.”
Walk Chairman, Simon Milsted, said: “We are all so proud of our Island. So, with the effects of the pandemic now a distant memory, we are encouraging everyone this year to reach out to friends and family from the UK or further afield, to take this opportunity and visit our Island at its best and make this a weekend to remember.
“Without our walkers and the generous sponsorship raised, we would be unable to assist our Island’s charities in continuing the amazing work they do.
“Whether you choose to tackle the 39-mile route as an individual or as part of a relay team, now is the time to sign up.”
