KPMG in the Crown Dependencies were proud to take home two key accolades at the recent Jersey Finance Sustainable Finance Awards 2023.
The professional services firm saw success in two categories:
- Local Presence, Global Reach – KPMG received recognition of the deep expertise they bring together in Jersey and across their network to support clients such as asset managers, corporates, governments, and international organisations in scaling up sustainable finance. A notable example of this is the firm’s work on a project with UNICEF surrounding Innovative Finance solutions that will provide new sources of capital. This aims to radically accelerate results for children under the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Outstanding Individual Contribution – this was awarded to David Postlethwaite, ESG Associate Director at KPMG. David was recognised for his ESG practical and technical expertise, and his instrumental role in developing Jersey’s roadmap for sustainable finance. He was also recognised for his guidance for clients to enhance their approach to ESG matters by deploying KPMG's extensive range of solutions.
An independent judging panel of experts, nominated by Jersey Finance Limited, oversaw the awards which are designed to showcase and reward local financial services firms who make a valuable contribution to support the shifting of capital towards sustainable outcomes.
Andrew Quinn, Managing Partner of KPMG in Jersey, commented: “We are thrilled to receive such significant recognition. KPMG believes that a thriving sustainable finance ecosystem is key to building successful and resilient businesses, which have a lasting impact on our environment and society.
“With David as our ESG lead in Jersey, who works closely with the growing team across the Crown Dependencies and sector experts across the KPMG network, this exceptional cross-border sharing of expertise gives us the ability to service clients seamlessly in all markets in which they operate.”
