Two new categories have been added to this year’s Rising Stars Awards, which are organised by Jersey Finance and aim to celebrate young talent (aged 16 – 30) across Jersey’s financial services sector.
The new categories recognise young professionals for their work in ‘Diversity and Inclusion’, and ‘Sustainability’, complementing the existing twelve categories in order to showcase individuals who have demonstrated commitment to these areas within the industry.
The other categories are Accountancy, Banking, Compliance, CSR and Employee Morale, Digital, Funds, Human Resources, Investment Management, Law, Marketing, Operations and Secretarial, and Trust and Corporate Services.
Nominations are open from now until Friday 1 April for Jersey Finance Member firms to put forward their employees through the dedicated online portal. Firms are able to submit multiple nominations across all categories, and once entries are submitted, they will be reviewed and shortlisted by a panel of independent judges.
The shortlisted entries will then be voted for by the general public via online polling with winners being announced at the Awards ceremony at the Royal Jersey Showground in July.
Commenting on the awards, Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive, Jersey Finance said: “The Awards are a fantastic opportunity for our Member firms to recognise and put forward their younger staff so that we can join together in acknowledging the achievements of our industry’s rising stars. We have had a great number of strong candidates nominated during the last two years, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more exceptional young professionals being celebrated for their successes in 2022, including in our new Diversity and Inclusion and
Sustainability categories.”
“It’s important that we acknowledge and shine a light on the new talent coming up through the ranks who will one day be leading our industry.”
Sponsors for the Rising Stars Awards 2022 include Bedell Cristin, Oak Group, IQ-EQ, Vistra, Equiom, and Stonehage Fleming.
