Digital Jersey is to explore a collaboration with NVIDIA focused on how advanced AI and accelerated computing could support responsible adoption, productivity and innovation across the island.
The work would build on the Jersey AI Playbook, developed through the Jersey AI Council to align industry, government and regulators around practical, responsible AI adoption. It would also support Digital Jersey’s 2026 priorities for AI skills acquisition, business adoption and international technology partnerships.
NVIDIA provides accelerated computing, AI models and software to enable an ecosystem of technology partners that help cities improve and automate operations, while delivering more responsive, intelligent solutions.
Initial work would assess potential demand, define key outcomes and establish the governance, security, skills and commercial considerations that Jersey would need.
NVIDIA would contribute technical expertise in accelerated computing, AI software and application providers for digital twins and AI agents, to inform Jersey’s assessment.
Tony Moretta (pictured), CEO of Digital Jersey, said: “Jersey’s size, connectivity and collaborative ecosystem give us an opportunity to move quickly while adopting AI responsibly. Working with NVIDIA would allow us to enable advanced AI capabilities with potential gains in productivity, innovation and skills across the island.
“This is not about deploying technology for its own sake. It is about giving Jersey’s organisations the knowledge, governance and partners to use AI with confidence, while protecting the trust on which our economy depends.”
