Dementia Jersey has partnered up with leading experts to offer a range of fun challenging events for islanders, to help raise money for the charity.
The events which include skydives, a family friendly cycle challenge and an Inca Trail trek offer some exhilarating bucket list challenges as well as opportunities to explore the island. All this while raising money for Dementia Jersey to continue offering services for the 1,600 people with dementia in Jersey.
Claudine Snape, CEO Dementia Jersey, said: “The skydive and Inca Trail are bucket list items which we hope will help drive signups, and the cycle challenge, which is 100 miles during the month of August, gives people of all levels the motivation to challenge themselves at their own pace. We’re really excited to be able to offer these incredible experiences to help raise money for the charity.
All funds raised from challenges go towards providing a lifeline to people with dementia and their families and helping make Jersey a more dementia-friendly island.”

Inca Trail Trek
Booked through Discover Adventure, the 10-day trek will follow a spectacular route, through valleys and high passes, scattered with fascinating Inca ruins. A fantastic opportunity to visit Peru, trekking the Inca Trail to see the beautiful Machu Picchu!
- Date: 17th to 26th September 2022
- Cost: £500 registration fee, plus £1,799 due 8 weeks before departure
- Fundraising target: £2,000
Skydive
In partnership with Skydive Jersey, Dementia Jersey are offering islanders an opportunity to take part in a tandem skydive, experiencing Jersey from a different perspective whilst travelling at speeds of 120mph.

- Cost: £339 (including £139 deposit)
- Fundraising target: £400
Cycle Challenge
An exciting new challenge for the cycling calendar. Whether you’re a novice or seasoned cyclist, this 100 mile challenge which is completed during August is a fantastic opportunity to explore Jersey by bike while also raising funds.
