Law firm Carey Olsen has made four senior promotions across its Jersey and London offices.
The four new senior associates are Nienke Malan and Ashley Morrison, based in Jersey, and Vaishali Gupta and Nina Silva, who will work from firm’s London office.
Nienke Malan is a member of the corporate team in Jersey and specialises in cross-border investment and collective investment vehicles. She has acted for many significant local and international fund managers, real estate investors and financial institutions on transactions with a Jersey connection. Her practice includes advising on the establishment, regulation and launch of investment funds, negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial agreements and advising on the sale and financing of structures holding international real estate, such as Jersey property unit trusts.
Ashley Morrison specialises in securitisation and structured finance transactions for clients which include global investment banks and issuers. In particular, Ashley has worked on numerous high yield bond issuances and listings with the leading law firms in London, a number of synthetic securitisations and has been involved in the Jersey elements of several credit card securitisation structures. She also advises on structured finance deals including equity placings as well as the issue and listing of convertible bonds by Jersey incorporated issuers.
Vaishali Gupta provides advice on Guernsey corporate law from the firm’s London office, specialising in banking and finance transactions. She regularly advises corporate and financial institutions on structured finance, financial restructurings and fund related finance transactions, as well as general corporate matters and fund formations.
Nina Silva is a member of the trusts and private wealth group in London. Guernsey-qualified, she advises high net worth clients and trustees with regard to the establishment and restructuring of offshore trusts and foundations. She deals with all aspects of fiduciary law, particularly in relation to contentious and non-contentious trust and probate matters.
