After a successful first year, Crestbridge is inviting applications for its 2023 Trainee Programme.
The programme has been designed to help launch the careers of young people considering a career in financial services in Jersey by providing an insight into different areas of the industry.
Now in its second year, the programme recognises that financial services is a broad and wide-ranging industry with many potential career paths to follow. It has been designed for school leavers and graduates who would like a career in financial services but might not yet know to which area they are best suited. The programme provides applicants with the opportunity to work in different areas of the business on rotation.
Up to six people will be selected to take part in the two-year program this year, with successful applicants having the opportunity to work in three of Crestbridge’s business divisions, including Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, Corporate, Open Ended Funds, Real Estate Corporate and Client Operations, spending eight months in each of the three departments.
The scheme offers a competitive salary and benefits package for successful applicants, with permanent employment options and secondment opportunities after completion of the programme. In addition, all trainees will have ongoing support from Crestbridge’s in-house Learning and Development team and have the opportunity to begin studying toward an appropriate professional qualification.
Applications for the programme are open now with a deadline of 31 July. The 2023 intake will then take up their positions in September this year. An Open Afternoon will be held on Thursday 13 th April, 3pm – 5pm, at Crestbridge’s offices in Charter Place for anyone wanting to find out more about the programme, whilst more information is also available at Crestbridge Careers.
Commenting on the launch of the 2023 Crestbridge Trainee Programme, Mike Edward, Chief People Officer at Crestbridge, said: “The finance industry is incredibly broad and for those starting out on their career journey, it’s understandable that they may not be sure what direction they want to go in.
“Our programme provides trainees with a unique and eye-opening opportunity to become a valued member of our busy team and see first-hand what it’s like to work in different areas of our diverse business, whilst also benefitting from the chance to gain a professional qualification. The first year of the initiative has been incredibly successful, and I’m delighted to be able to launch our 2023 Programme.”
Nikki Lewandowski, one of the trainees taking part as one of the inaugural ‘class of 2022’, added: “Over the past year I’ve been able to get a great understanding of what it’s like to work in different areas of the business in a really structured way – it’s been really rewarding, not only to work with some fantastic people, but also to see how it all fits together. I’ve also been able to get started on a qualification, which will be invaluable in my longer-term career. It’s not something other trainee programs tend to offer, and I’d definitely recommend finding out more.”
