Crestbridge has appointed Marie Morris as Director and Money Laundering Compliance Officer within its Group Risk function.
In her new role, Marie (pictured) will lead the Financial Crime Compliance team in Jersey and act as the Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO), with a responsibility for supporting the business in the management of Anti-Financial Crime risk through the provision of training and advice on all Financial Crime compliance and risk matters.
Marie will also provide support in the development and promotion of Crestbridge’s Financial Crime programme, encompassing anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, countering the financing of terrorism and weapons proliferation. In addition, she will be responsible for leading the continual development and maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures, processes, and tools across the Group.
Prior to joining Crestbridge Marie was MLCO at a global bank and before that was a senior compliance manager for an international financial services provider.
With over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, Marie holds a number of professional qualifications, including the International Compliance Association’s Diplomas in AML and Compliance and is currently studying towards the Diploma in Managing Sanctions Risk. She is also a Certified Data Protection Officer.
