CoSteer has published its first ever review of governance and culture across the Channel Islands providing strategic insight for organisational development and performance.
Governance is critical for the maintenance of healthy, productive organisations and across the Channel Islands there are requirements for many businesses to monitor the effectiveness of their governance systems. Both the Guernsey and Jersey financial regulators, for example, expect their regulated community to report on this effectiveness. But what’s good? How do we compare with others? And, are there particular aspects of the way a business works that supports better governance?
Divya Mahendran (pictured), Head of Governance Development at CoSteer, said: “This report presents a primary data, evidence-based perspective on the state of governance and culture across the Channel Islands and how, by approaching governance as a ‘complex system’, organisational cultures are emerging as key in influencing these states of governance – it brings governance to the boardroom centre.”
