Local children’s and community centre, Bright Beginnings, is continuing to support parents, carers and youngsters on-Island following a recent donation from Condor.
The Condor Community Fund has provided funds for the design and printing of display panels for the Children’s Centre in Rue des Monts, St Sampson’s. These highlight the range of programmes offered by the charity which include speech and language, responsive parenting and nurturing health, social and emotional development.
Teresa Bott, Manager of the Children’s Centre, was delighted with the new arrivals.
“The first 1001 days of a baby’s life, from conception to age two, are critical so it is very important to support families during such times. We opened the Centre back in 2017 and are passionate about helping parents and carers.”
“The display boards are a brilliant way of promoting our services so we can continue helping local families build a secure and loving relationship with their children. We are therefore very grateful to Condor for their generosity.”
Condor’s Community Fund was originally established in 2019 and supports Islanders who give up their time to develop community activities. The Fund sees numerous applications from across the Islands with a focus on sustainability, local benefit and enjoyment for others.
Greg Yeoman, Condor’s Executive Director, commented, “Some initiatives just need financial assistance to kick start an activity or project. It was clear we could make a small difference to Bright Beginnings in the work they do, so we were happy to be able to help.”
