Marketing agency, Brand Champions, is teaming up with local businesses to launch a design competition that will get Jersey’s ‘little brand champions’ full of festive cheer.
Brand Champions relocated to Jersey from the UK earlier this year and received such a warm welcome that founder, Fiona Wylie, and her team wanted to host a community project to say thank you and to get young islanders thinking about the most positive aspects of 2021.
The design competition, which is open to all islanders up to the age of 11, is looking for dazzling Christmas jumper designs which celebrate what’s been great about this year.
“We have been made to feel incredibly welcome in Jersey and it’s that wonderful warmth that has inspired us to launch the Christmas jumper competition. The kindness we have been shown has been a real positive for us and we are keen to encourage young islanders to take the time to think about what has made them happy or what they feel have been the most positive achievements or moments of 2021.
“It might be reaching an agreement at COP 26 or it might be something closer to home, like the birth of a younger brother or sister. Despite the challenging circumstances, we feel passionate that we mustn’t overlook all that has been great about this year. We believe in creativity in everyone at Brand Champions, not least of all our ‘little Brand Champions’ and I can’t wait to see the designs and how they capture the year of 2021,” said Brand Champions founder, Fiona Wylie.
Prizes include a ‘Family Pizza Box’, ‘Luxury sleepover for two’, Percy Pig hamper and a Christmas goodies hamper. The winner and two runners up will also have their designs made on gingerbread.
“One of Brand Champions’ core values is ‘volunteers not victims’ which means we are 100% committed and champion the causes we believe in – and shopping local is one of these.
“We want to help local businesses to thrive and by working in collaboration with local brands on this competition we also hope to remind islanders to #shoplocalthischristmas. A huge thank you to Pizza Box, Camp’ In, Lab-6, Liberty Wharf and SandpiperCI for kindly providing all of our brilliant prizes,” added Fiona.
Entry forms are now available here.
Printed copies of the entry form will also be available from Monday 22nd November at SandpiperCI stores within Liberty Wharf including Matalan, IQ, Marks and Spencer and Costa.
The closing date for entries is Monday 6th December with prizes to be awarded at Liberty Wharf at 6pm on Thursday 16th December.
