Collas Crill has promoted Emma Taylor to Senior Associate in its dispute resolution team in Guernsey.
Emma joined Collas Crill as a bursary student and went on to train with the firm, qualifying as a Solicitor of England & Wales in 2017. She was called to the Guernsey Bar this year.
Emma (pictured) advises on all aspects of commercial dispute resolution with a particular focus on contentious and semi-contentious trust matters. She regularly advises corporate trustees and beneficiaries alike on the full spectrum of trust disputes from breach of trust claims to information requests. Emma also assists clients in respect of commercial disputes and contentious risk and regulatory matters, including enforcement action, and has considerable experience acting for insured parties.
Emma said: “I am absolutely delighted to be moving into the role of Senior Associate and to take that next step in my career. I am very grateful for all the support I have had from Collas Crill over the last 10 years – from sponsoring me as a Bursary Student at university to supporting me through my studies to become a Guernsey Advocate. It is great to work at a firm that is so focused on and committed to nurturing junior lawyers. I am looking forward to paying this forward in the future.”
Guernsey Managing Partner and head of dispute resolution, Christian Hay, said: “Emma is one of our home-grown stars, having joined the firm as a bursary student and going on to gain valuable experience on secondments to a City law firm and to our Cayman office.
“Having recently qualified as a Guernsey advocate, it is time to recognise Emma’s substantial contribution to the team and the firm with this well-deserved promotion to Senior Associate. Well done, Emma.”
