Collas Crill has appointed Senior Associate Ian Petherbridge to join its corporate, finance and funds team in Guernsey.
Ian joins Collas Crill from South Africa, where he was a specialist consultant for Eversheds Sutherland. He has a transactional practice covering banking, financing as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Ian has experience advising on acquisition finance, corporate banking, development finance, debt capital markets, investor services, exchange control, global markets, real estate finance, project finance and cross-jurisdictional finance. He has advised on projects undertaken in African jurisdictions, several European jurisdictions and offshore jurisdictions.
Ian has been part of or led teams on multi-jurisdictional merger and acquisition transactions in a range of sectors including oil and gas, technology, media and telecom (TMT), fast-moving consumer goods, real estate, mining, retail and logistics. He has also advised on solar power projects, commodities trading, infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
Ian was admitted as a legal practitioner in the High Court of Namibia in April 2007 and was admitted as a Notary Public in the Supreme Court of Namibia in 2012.
