An extensive course of study has resulted in a globally recognised cloud qualification for Ollie Le Prevost, a Systems Engineer at IT managed services provider, Resolution IT. Ollie has passed the AZ-104 exam which gives him the expertise to implement, manage and monitor an organisation’s Microsoft Azure environment.
Ollie commented: “Prior to taking the exam it was an intensive weeklong training course, as well as additional studying to fit in around the busy day job. Azure is Microsoft’s cloud platform which, like other cloud platforms, is essentially a set of physical hardware (compute, storage and networking) located in data centres which execute virtualized hardware for a customer.
“The advantages of cloud computing are enormous, not least because all your configuring, securing, patching, updating and fixing of the physical hardware your data or virtual appliances are sitting on is done automatically. The client is simply responsible for deploying and maintaining the virtualized systems and workload on top of them. This takes strain off of a business in terms of maintaining a physical infrastructure, and eliminates the usual 3-5 year costly hardware refresh of this infrastructure”.
Steve Brehaut, Resolution IT’s Managing Director said: “Providing exceptional service is at the core of our business and for us to be able to do that, we need to make sure the team’s experience is backed up by the right qualifications. We’re keen to support our staff to genuinely be the best they can be and we’re delighted at Ollie’s exam success”.
