Sports, creative arts, fitness and much more is set to be brought together under one roof with the introduction of a bespoke Club for children which provides after-school, weekend and holiday activities.

‘Kids@Kings’ is a brand-new addition to the wide range of services already available at Kings Premier Health Club and is being launched under the leadership of renowned Guernsey tennis player and coach Rob West.

“The introduction of Kids@Kings fits perfectly with the Kings values.  We are a true family hub, where all ages come together and work to improve their health and fitness while also spending quality and productive family time together” Club Manager, Sean Mills, explained to Channel Eye.

“We are delighted to welcome Rob to our team.  His impressive pedigree both as a tennis player and coach is well known both locally and further afield and it’s really exciting to have someone of his calibre driving this exciting new initiative forward.”

Described as ‘a Club within a Club’, Kids@Kings will be based in the newly-refurbished Kids@Kings building at Kings Premier Health Club.  Two dedicated fitness zones will enable children aged 5 and up to participate in classes, coaching and activities both after school and at weekends, together with a range of options for pre-schoolers too.  Multi-activity holiday camps will run during the school holidays aimed at teaching children a range of new skills, with development, fun, health and fitness at the heart of everything on offer.

Rob said: “By incorporating a broad range of options, including tennis, group fitness, swimming, team games and skills alongside music, arts and crafts and homework supervision we reduce the need for parents to travel to numerous locations.  It also gives parents the option to attend an adult class or go to the gym at the same time that their child is benefitting from our programmes.”

Active children are more likely to become active adults and childhood is a key period for the development of the skills and confidence needed for a healthy and active adult lifestyle.  The structured programmes and varied options at Kings are aimed at not only supporting and encouraging them to develop a lifelong love for fitness, but also to enable them to learn vital skills and help them to further their interests across a range of different disciplines.

Kids@Kings first summer camp will get under way on 5th July 2021.
