The guaranteed first prize in this year’s Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has now risen to £450,000.
The guaranteed first prize in this year’s Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has now risen from £400,000 to £450,000 in just a few days as sales pick up.
Jon Taylor, Senior Lottery Officer for States Trading Group who operate the Lottery in Guernsey said: “Sales were very strong over the weekend and this continued through the week which is why the first prize is starting to rise. In particular, syndicate sales are building across the Channel Islands.
“Last year’s first prize was £696,740 and if the strong sales continue we hope to reach that again. I would also like to remind islanders that there’s 66 other prizes in the draw ranging from £500 to £50,000.”
The complementary Advent Calendar Christmas game is also proving popular with islanders. 47,000 tickets have been sold out of an allocation of 50,000 with proceeds raising further funds for worthy causes throughout the Channel Islands.
The draw will take place in the Central Markets, Jersey on Thursday 23rd December, live on ITV Channel TV from 6.00 pm.
