CentricalCyber has appointed Darren Clement, an IT professional and certified Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with more than 25 years’ experience, as Director.
Darren’s experience includes 15 years as a Company Director and an early Cloud aggregator, with positions at international banking and finance businesses, consultancy practices and IT service providers in the UK, Europe and the Channel Islands. He joins CentricalCyber to help establish and lead its real-time CISO Office service and to assist with the Company’s international expansion strategy.
On his appointment, Darren, said: “I’m joining a team who are bringing a unique approach to cyber risk management and cyber security to the regulated offshore sector. The new CISO suite is taking a real-time and objective approach to protecting businesses from cyber risk. Cyber criminals don’t wait on assessments before attacking businesses, they don’t work to a calendar or a review cycle, and we shouldn’t either. We’re utilising a highly automated real-time platform with revolutionary workflow, reporting and AI capabilities to protect businesses and their assets from the inevitability of attack.”
CentricalCyber utilises globally recognised international frameworks, including NIST CSF and ISO27001, alongside local jurisdictional rulings, including the Guernsey Financial Services Commission’s new Cyber Security Rules. The business has also developed specialist frameworks to meet regulatory requirements in other jurisdictions. These frameworks help organisations of all sizes and sectors to manage and reduce cyber risk and demonstrate an effective governance and assurance capability whilst providing clarity for internal and external stakeholders and industry regulators.
