Guernsey’s Policy & Economic Group (GPEG) have announced that Caroline Carter is joining their team.
Caroline will be working with GPEG for the next eight weeks before commencing her studies in Philosophy and Politics at university.
Caroline has just finished her A-Levels and her interest in politics makes working at GPEG a perfect opportunity to experience what a job or career in the field of politics and policy may be like, giving her valuable skills in operations including research and producing publications.
In 2020, Caroline undertook work experience alongside a Guernsey Deputy and said that she found the workings of government, from the perspective of legislators, to be fascinating and complex. This piqued her interest in policy-making and so she wanted to learn more about the different jobs and roles of non-governmental bodies involved in politics and policy; the GPEG internship was an ideal opportunity.
