Carey Olsen has once again been shortlisted for Offshore Firm of the Year at the annual Chambers High Net Worth Awards, having won the same category last year.
Finalists for the awards, which celebrate legal excellence in the world of private wealth, are selected as a result of extensive and objective research by the highly regarded legal directory’s team of more than 200 analysts and follows the recent publication of the 2020 edition of the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth guide.
In the edition, Carey Olsen continued to lead all offshore law firms by virtue of being ranked in more jurisdictions than any other legal provider. Within those rankings Carey Olsen remains the only law firm to achieve Band 1 status in Guernsey, while the firm’s trusts and private wealth teams in Bermuda (Band 2), Jersey (Band 2) and the Cayman Islands (Band 3) are also recognised.
In addition, the firm had 10 lawyers from across its Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey offices individually recognised.
Bermuda – Keith Robinson (Band 1) and Ashley Fife (Band 2)
Cayman Islands – Bernadette Carey and Graham Stoute (both Band 3)
Guernsey – Russell Clark (Band 1), Konrad Friedlaender (Band 2), Natasha Kapp and Patricia Montgomery (Band 3)
Jersey – Siobhan Riley (Band 2) and Alexa Saunders (Band 3)
Commenting on the firm’s shortlisting, Russell Clark, managing partner and head of the trusts and private wealth group in Guernsey, said: “Having won this highly prestigious award last year, Carey Olsen is delighted to have once again been named among the finalists for 2020. It builds upon our superb set of rankings in the latest Chambers High Net Worth guide and is testament to the excellent client service provided by everyone in our global trusts and private wealth team”.
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions, the awards will take place virtually on Thursday 8 October. Carey Olsen is one of three firms shortlisted for the Offshore Firm of the Year category.
