Carey Olsen has announced the return of Carly Parrott, who rejoins the firm this month as Head of Employment in Guernsey.
Carly previously served as counsel in Carey Olsen’s employment team in Guernsey from 2017 to 2020 and brings with her a wealth of experience and an established reputation as one of the Island’s top employment lawyers. In the interim period, she expanded her corporate skill set as a director for Opus Private Limited, and most recently, established the pan-island employment practice and was Head of Employment (Channel Islands) for another offshore law firm in Guernsey.
With expertise in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, Carly advises global, multinational, and local clients and is well known and respected for her practical, “out of the box” pragmatic legal advice and business support. Her extensive experience spans both onshore and offshore jurisdictions, and she specialises in working with employer organisations and senior executives.
Carly is ranked as a Band 2 lawyer in Chambers UK and as a Next Generation Partner in The Legal 500 UK for Employment.
Feedback from clients as reported by The Legal 500 UK states: “Carly Parrott is exceptional. Her expertise is in high demand, but still she remains available and approachable; a testament to how hard she works and the team that she has built around her. Her ability to apply complex law to human situations and communicate potential solutions is extraordinary. Also, her advice is always delivered with engaging charisma.”
Elaine Gray, head of Carey Olsen’s Guernsey dispute resolution and litigation team commented: “I am delighted to welcome Carly back to the firm. She brings with her many years of experience in the employment space and is extremely well regarded. Her exceptional client service skills, strategic thinking and breadth of knowledge makes her the perfect fit for Carey Olsen, and I am pleased that our clients will once again benefit from her considerable expertise and energy.”
