Carey Olsen’s corporate practice has advised Peel Hunt, a leading UK mid and small-cap focused investment bank, on its initial public offering (IPO) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
Listed on the AIM market of the LSE, the IPO has raised gross proceeds of £112 million, which values the investment bank at £280 million. Peel Hunt will use the listing to support its continued growth plans, which includes establishing offices in Europe and investing in new technology.
Working alongside onshore counsel Ashurst, the Carey Olsen team advising on the Guernsey legal and regulatory aspects of the admission was led by partner David Crosland (pictured), with assistance from senior associate John Scanlan.
David said: “We are delighted to have supported Peel Hunt as the company embarks on the next phase of its exciting growth plans. Its London listing has attracted a positive reception, with strong support from institutional investors as well as retail investors, which speaks volumes for the firm’s reputation in the market.
Founded in 1989, Peel Hunt is a leading UK mid and small-cap focused investment bank, operating across three segments: investment banking, research & distribution, and execution & trading.
