
Senior Tax Consultant
Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to join their team and play a crucial role in assisting with the Group’s tax compliance, accounting arrangements, and driving forward key tax projects. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in tax and a desire to contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing organisation.
What you will do:
- Assist in the preparation of the Group’s tax compliance across various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the review of the Group’s tax accounting arrangements, including tax provisioning, payments, and ensuring accuracy in financial statements.
- Conduct technical research on a range of tax issues, staying updated on developments in tax law and practice.
- Assist in driving forward tax projects within the team, such as R&D tax credits, transfer pricing, and other specialised tax initiatives.
- Monitor the impact of legislative changes across multiple jurisdictions and assess their effect on the Group.
- Provide support in responding to potential tax authority enquiries and managing any associated risks.
- Work with taxes including UK income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and those applicable in Isle of Man, Jersey, Ireland, and Barbados. Familiarity with VAT, CIS, and SDLT/LBTT is a plus, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
What you will have:
- Ideally, you will be working in a tax-related role or an accountancy role with a strong interest in tax matters.
- Exposure to tax matters across one or more jurisdictions, such as the UK, Isle of Man, Ireland, and Jersey, is highly desirable.
- A friendly disposition and a willingness to assist and collaborate with others, as teamwork is key in this role.
- A proactive approach to work with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
