Senior Finance Manager
This is an exciting new opportunity to join our Finance Team. The role will be accountable for leading the Finance function including Balance Sheet Risk Management, Financial Reporting and the daily operations of the function. Ensuring that robust governance, controls, monitoring and reporting is in a place to manage prudential, conduct and operational risk effectively.
Whilst also contributing to strategy of Skipton ensuring that the financial strength of the business is maintained, stakeholder’s interests protected, regulator confidence is maintained, and colleague welfare promoted.
Key responsibilities
- Finance, Planning and Management Information.
- Ensure that Skipton’s accounting systems produce accurate and timely financial information on business activities and performance.
- Ensure that the Executive Committee and Board are provided with Skipton’s financial performance drawing attention to matters which represent significant risk to Skipton’s financial well-being.
- Risk and Capital Management.
- Ensure that the ICAAP is prepared in line with Regulatory timelines.
- Ensure that Skipton has adequate capital to meet its regulatory and business requirements.
- Treasury and Liquidity Management.
- Develop treasury policies and procedures designed to identify, monitor and manage the liquidity and Interest Rate Risk requirements of the company.
- People Management and Development.
- Build upon the competence, dedication and integrity of your team so that they may continue to be relied upon to complete the day to day running of the business.
- Adhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.

- Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Essential requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Membership of applicable ACCA/ACA/CIMA or an equivalent professional body.
- Development, implementation and review of business strategy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operational process, procedures, technology.
- Treasury and liquidity risk management.
