Sanctions Screening Analyst
As part of Skipton’s ongoing growth, we are adding a new role of Sanctions Screening Analyst. This role would suit an individual who is detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
This role will contribute to the effective operation of the Customer Onboarding function of Skipton International. They will assist with the ongoing customer risk reviews, including management of communication and correspondence as well as the regulatory obligations that Skipton must adhere to in relation to customer screening.
Key responsibilities
- Review Sanction, Terrorism, PEP and Enforcement generated customer alerts to identify confirmed matches, discounting false matches, performing investigations as required and where necessary escalate to key stakeholders for further review.
- Complete adverse media screening and identify any Financial Crime red flags and escalate as appropriate.
- Reviewing systems, available data and investigative tools to mitigate risks.
- Record and update relevant, accurate and timely MI in the teamwork trackers where relevant and as needed by the Team Lead.

- Work to tight deadlines and often under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of quality and competency.
- Where needed, support the implementation of change to systems.
- Operate in line with the Bank’s Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
- Engage personally with the Values and Behaviours; challenge examples of unacceptable behaviour.
