
Sanctions Screening Analyst
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Sanction Screening Analyst to join our team at Skipton International. In this role, you will contribute to the effective operation of the Customer Onboarding function, assisting with customer risk reviews and regulatory obligations related to customer screening. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and enhance customer service outcomes.
Key accountabilities
- Review Alerts: Analyse Sanction, Terrorism, PEP, and Enforcement alerts to identify confirmed matches, discount false matches, perform investigations, and escalate as needed.
- Adverse Media Screening: Identify Financial Crime red flags and escalate appropriately.
- Risk Mitigation: Utilize systems, data, and investigative tools to mitigate risks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely MI in teamwork trackers as required.
- Customer Strategy: Champion customer experience and ensure appropriate outcomes.
- Service Delivery: Provide excellent service to customers and stakeholders.
- Change Implementation: Support the implementation of system changes.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Operate in line with the Bank’s Risk Management framework and compliance policies, escalating concerns to the line manager.
- Training & Support: Engage in learning and development to build capability and support career planning.
- Confidentiality: Ensure customer confidentiality and data integrity.
- Data Security: Comply with data/computer security procedures.
Essential requirements
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Banking, Finance, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Team player with a positive approach to change.
- Flexible, adaptable, and excellent time management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
