Manager, Technology Consulting
Our client, a leading professional services firm, is looking for an experienced Manager to join their Technology Consulting team. The team works with Financial Services clients across the Channel Islands to understand business processes, shape requirements, and design, build, and run well-governed technology solutions using the latest tools and technologies.
The Role
You will lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. Working with onshore and offshore developers, you will manage delivery from discovery through to implementation and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects from discovery and requirements definition through to implementation and support
- Act as technical product owner — translating business objectives into clear requirements, user stories, and deliverables
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and define functional and non-functional requirements
- Manage and prioritise project backlogs, balancing business value, technical dependencies, and team capacity
- Coordinate onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose
- Report clearly to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and financial performance
- Coach and develop junior team members
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience managing end-to-end technology project delivery in a professional services or consulting environment
- Experience leading software development teams, including onshore and offshore resources
- Strong business analysis skills — requirements definition, process analysis, and user stories
- Experience as a product owner, including managing a delivery backlog
- Sufficient technical understanding to engage credibly with developers and architects
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
- Project Management certification (AgilePM, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master) and a business analysis qualification
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and the Channel Islands market
- Experience with Microsoft technologies: Azure, Power Platform, Power BI
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or Confluence
- Experience with automation, data, or AI-enabled solutions
