
IT Systems Manager
Our client, a privately owned financial services group providing tailored financial and fiduciary solutions to private clients, corporations and institutions worldwide, is seeking an experienced IT Systems Manager to take ownership of their technology landscape. Based in Guernsey, with responsibility for systems across the Channel Islands, UK and South Africa, this is a permanent, key operational role.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring systems support the business effectively today, while identifying and implementing improvements for the future.
Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, you will be the central point of contact for all system-related matters across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Procurement & Implementation
- Lead the evaluation and procurement of new systems and technology solutions
- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into system requirements
- Manage vendor selection and onboarding processes
- Support or lead the implementation of new systems, including CRM platforms
Systems & Vendor Management
- Maintain and manage relationships with existing technology vendors and service providers
- Monitor performance against SLAs and ensure value for money across supplier contracts
- Act as the key internal point of contact for system-related queries and issues
Systems Administration
- Serve as the internal super-user or administrator for core systems (e.g. trust systems, accounting platforms, document management)
- Ensure systems are correctly configured, maintained, and documented
- Oversee regular updates, upgrades, and security patches in coordination with vendors
Data & Reporting (Desirable)
- Support or lead management information (MI) reporting and data analysis activities
- Help teams make data-driven decisions through efficient reporting systems and tools
Cross-Jurisdictional Support
- Manage systems across the group’s locations, primarily Guernsey and London
- Ensure consistency and compliance with IT practices across jurisdictions
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an IT systems or operations management role
- Experience in a financial services environment, ideally including trust systems such as Quantios, Viewpoint, or NavOne, and accounting systems such as Business Central
- Experience implementing or managing the implementation of CRM systems
- Strong vendor management skills
- Hands-on technical skills — comfortable being both strategic and operational
