
IT Administrator
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Guernsey.
Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our IT services, systems, and infrastructure.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service desk experience, maintaining robust IT operations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our technology environment.

Key accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional L1 and L2+ Service Desk support to internal colleagues.
- Maintain and enhance IT systems, ensuring alignment with SLAs, policies, and risk frameworks.
- Support vendor and partner management to ensure service quality and accountability.
- Own and resolve IT system issues from identification through to resolution.
- Contribute to IT documentation, risk management, and business continuity planning.
- Assist in the procurement, implementation, and improvement of IT solutions.
- Promote and maintain a secure cyber environment and support information security practices.
- Engage with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer and colleague experiences.
- Embrace change and continuous learning to support personal and team development.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT operations, engineering, or service desk roles.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Windows 11 desktop environments.
- Active Directory and Office 365 support.
- Basic Windows Server administration.
- Understanding of Azure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with business continuity and risk management practices.
Desirable:
Qualifications:
- MCP/MCSA, ITIL, or Information Security certifications.
- Technical Experience:
- Windows Server 2016+, Exchange 2019/365, Azure infrastructure.
- Entra, InTune, SQL Server, VMware, Mitel systems.
- Vulnerability and patch management tools (e.g., Qualys).
- Industry Experience: Financial services or regulated environments.
