
Compliance Specialist
The Compliance Specialist will contribute to the effective operation of the Compliance function at Skipton International Limited (Skipton).
This role involves assisting with ongoing customer risk reviews, providing advisory services on Compliance, Regulatory (GFSC and JFSC Handbooks), and AML/CTF issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in marketing materials.
Key accountabilities
- Complete day-to-day compliance-related tasks accurately and timely.
- Assist in maintaining compliance management policies, procedures, and processes.
- Monitor regulator websites for relevant information affecting Skipton.
- Identify potential changes to compliance and data protection regulations.
- Prepare management information for senior colleagues and committees.
- Undertake projects as directed by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience (candidates educated to diploma/degree level are desirable)
- Experience in a Financial Services environment (preferably in a Compliance role)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Intermediate/Advance Excel skills a bonus)
- Ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Experience in delivering presentations.
Desirable experience:
- Knowledge of financial services regulation within Skipton’s markets.
- Experience using sanctions monitoring tools and compliance software.
