Communications Manager
Our client is looking for a creative and strategic Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives. This role is critical in enhancing brand awareness, ensuring consistent messaging, and strengthening stakeholder engagement across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate communications, a flair for storytelling, and a solid understanding of UK regulatory and reputational considerations within the financial services or professional services industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Manage all internal communications, ensuring clear, engaging, and consistent messaging across departments.
- Oversee external communications, including media relations, press releases, and public statements.
- Collaborate with marketing and HR teams on initiatives such as employer branding, CSR campaigns, and recruitment communications.
- Act as a guardian of tone and voice, ensuring alignment with corporate identity and compliance standards.
- Lead crisis communication planning and response, working closely with senior leadership and compliance teams.
- Manage content creation for various channels, including the company’s website, social media, newsletters, and intranet.
- Monitor and analyse communication effectiveness, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including media contacts, industry partners, and agencies.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in a communications, PR, or corporate affairs role, ideally within a financial or professional services environment.
- A relevant qualification such as a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
- Strong knowledge of UK communications regulations, brand governance, and reputational risk management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences.
- Confident managing projects, working across teams, and delivering under pressure.
