Business Risk and Control Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a senior role within the Chief Operating Office.
The Business Risk and Control Manager is a critical role in ensuring that Skipton International operates an effective internal control framework and manages risks in line with the organisation’s risk appetite.
This role will ensure a positive risk culture, and initiatives are driven.
Required Skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships both within the team and the wider business
- Line management experience including day to day performance management and setting of team objectives
- Project management skills are desirable
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Can deliver excellent service to customers and/or stakeholders
- Has relevant financial services risk experience
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully implement the Risk Management Framework across all areas of the business
- Undertake thematic reviews and ensure that findings are followed up and business improvements are implemented as a result
- Provide oversight of the regulatory reporting timetable, ensuring that contributors are sighted in advance of requirements
- Oversee the effective operation of the Third Party Risk Management Framework, ensuring that all relationships are managed in line with framework expectations
- Manage and maintain customer confidentiality and data integrity
