Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management trainee stockbroker Holly Miller has graduated with a first-class honours degree in International Financial Services, achieving the highest marks in her year.
Holly studied for the qualification over two years at the Jersey International Business School. While undertaking the course she worked part-time at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management before taking up her full-time role on completion of the degree. She also completed the Investment Advice Diploma during the same period, which involved passing three exam-assessed modules.
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management supported Holly’s studies through the Undergraduate Employment Programme, offering her the work placement that was essential to the practical application of her academic work.
Holly Miller said: “Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s support was invaluable as it enhanced my understanding and provided me with a much more detailed picture of financial services as a whole. The degree is very diverse and covered so many aspects of financial services, but I knew I wanted to be a stockbroker when I graduated, so to have this opportunity to put my learning into practice and begin my career at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management is very rewarding.”
Grahame Lovett, Chief Executive Offshore, Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management commented: “Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management is committed to enabling its people to build their professional skills so that we continue to provide the highest quality service to our clients. We congratulate Holly Miller on this outstanding achievement and will continue to support her as she develops her career with us.”
