C8 Mechanical and Electrical’s ventilation compliance team, led by Greg Zimmerman, has been shortlisted for the National Heating and Ventilating Review Awards.
The team have been shortlisted in the newly introduced ‘Vent Hygiene Hero’ category.
The awards, organised by Datateam Business Media, recognise excellence in the heating, ventilation, and refrigeration industries and were held on 12 September 2024.
Although the team did not take home the top prize, their shortlisting is a significant achievement. The ‘Vent Hygiene Hero’ category was introduced this year to honour individuals and teams who demonstrate outstanding performance in ventilation hygiene, playing a vital role in maintaining safe, healthy, and energy-efficient indoor environments.
Greg Zimmerman, who leads C8’s ventilation compliance team, was encouraged to apply for the award based on his team’s exemplary work in this area. His submission, which featured detailed case studies, showcased the vital role his team plays in maintaining safe ventilation systems in commercial buildings – an area that has gained even greater importance in the post-Covid landscape.
Despite being personally shortlisted, Greg insists the nomination is a testament to the collective effort of his team.
“The recognition that comes with awards and nominations like this belong to the entire team. Their hard work and dedication to ensuring our clients’ safety is what makes this possible, it was something that came completely out of the blue and to get through the final round is a real achievement in itself, with industry experts having selected the finalists after reviewing the case studies and testimonials provided from a large pool of national specialists”, said Greg.
