Chief Financial Officer David Pike has joined the senior management team of Channel Island technology business C5 Alliance.
The appointment is one of a series of senior hires following the acquisition of C5 by BDO in Jersey.
His previous roles drew on his expertise in change management and in driving optimal financial performance across organisations. C5 has recently made investments in its own systems to support further effective and profitable growth.
Mr Pike has held senior financial positions at law firms in the UK and Jersey, working collaboratively with teams to instill discipline around the professional services culture of such businesses.
“I have been really pleased with the enthusiasm and excitement that the management and staff have for the business,” he said of C5.
The systems that have been put in place since the acquisition will position the company for considerable business growth without the need for further investment in infrastructure, while increased management information will create a platform for improved profitability.
Mr Pike said he was attracted to the business because of the people it employs, amounting to a team of 200 across Jersey and Guernsey.
“I’m enjoying working in such a sophisticated technological environment and enhancing the financial reporting of the business,” he said.
C5’s Chief Executive Officer Scott Workman said: “David’s expertise makes him a perfect fit for the talented senior management team and our executive committee which is charged with driving the business forward. We are very much looking forward to drawing on his extensive experience.”
