Butterfield has renewed its title sponsorship of the Guernsey Half Marathon for the next three years and registration for this year’s event, which takes place on Sunday, 17 September, is now open.
The Butterfield Half Marathon is a staple in the athletics calendar and sees runners from the Channel Islands, the UK and beyond follow the coastal course from L’Eree to St Peter Port. The first 500 participants to sign-up will receive a souvenir technical running t-shirt.
Alan Bain, Managing Director of Butterfield in Guernsey, said: “This year marks Butterfield’s 50th anniversary in the Channel Islands and we are delighted to show our continued commitment to the community. The Butterfield Half Marathon is a fantastic event that welcomes runners from around the world and, importantly, creates an opportunity to raise funds for many deserving charities.”
Louise Perrio, Race Director for the Guernsey Athletics Club, said: “We are incredibly grateful for Butterfield’s continued support. This is a very special race for local runners and for visitors to our island and we’re thrilled at how the event has blossomed further through our partnership with Butterfield.”
