Guernsey based CBO Projects is growing rapidly, after appointing five new members of staff in the last month.
The company, which specialises in project management, change management, business analysis, and wider management consultancy, was founded in 2011 by Philip Smith, who recruited his first member of staff two years later. The latest appointments span all business areas and add a wealth of experience to the team.
“I’m extremely proud to see how the business has grown over these last 11 years. We have always recruited people who understand our values and the culture that we have built at CBO and are genuinely willing to commit to our levels of quality. Growing demand for our services meant that we needed to bring on board new, experienced consultants,” said Philip.
- Tim Smart and Dr Camilla Moore have joined the firm as senior consultants. Both have extensive experience in project management, with Camilla having worked as head of business governance for a UK government body and Tim having delivered a wide range of projects in the retail and finance sectors.
- Peter Le Vallois is a technical and digital business analyst, with broad experience of implementing large scale organisational change. He joins CBO after spending the last five years working on a large-scale transformation programme, amalgamating two business units to a single organisation.
- Joining as consultants are Abigail Mason and Duncan Low. Abigail has experience in the retail and global payments sectors and aims to bring a sharp focus to delivering fit-for-purpose solutions and analysis. Duncan has had a long career in education, bringing leadership, organisation, and communication skills. He has worked on large education projects in both Guernsey and the UK.
CBO was created after Philip noticed what he called a ‘project and change management-shaped gap in the market’ while working for an IT services provider. “When I was working [for an IT service provider] I could see projects failing due to some pretty basic project management and leadership issues and really felt the need to help address that,” said Philip.
“The diversity, quality, and the depth of our relationships with our clients undoubtedly plays a key part in how attractive we are to potential recruits. Our newest members of staff each bring significant amounts of experience and skills that are vital for the services we provide. I’d like to welcome each of them on board and look forward to working alongside them on exciting and challenging projects for our clients.”
