Andrew Prosser, Investment Manager at Brooks Macdonald International, is the only Channel Islands-based professional to feature in a list profiling ‘new wealth talent’ published by leading wealth management publication Citywire last week.
Andrew, based in Jersey, was named in the ‘Top 30 Under 30: Class of 2019’ list, which is compiled annually by Citywire and aims to identify rising stars in the UK private client investment management industry. It is the fourth consecutive year Brooks Macdonald’s Channel Islands team has featured in the prestigious list.
In qualifying for the Top 30 list, which is now in its eighth year, Andrew was assessed on a combination of academic success, professional qualifications, and his responsibilities at and contribution to Brooks Macdonald. He fended off competition from numerous other nominees around the UK.
Andrew joined Brooks Macdonald in 2016 and is a member of the International fund selection, asset allocation, portfolio construction and direct equity committees. Having started out in financial services at Ernst & Young, auditing financial services companies, he qualified as a chartered accountant in 2015 whilst he is also a CFA Charterholder.
Adding to Brooks Macdonald’s success, Sam Durnell, Investment Director for the firm in the UK, was also named in Citywire’s list.
Commenting on the achievement, Andrew Shepherd, CEO, Brooks Macdonald International, said:
“We have a real focus on supporting the development of aspiring investment professionals in the Channel Islands, as is evidenced in our regular inclusion in Citywire’s list. I’m very pleased to see Andrew recognised this year. To be identified as amongst the very best within the industry nationally is an impressive achievement and one he fully deserves as a clearly very committed, talented and knowledgeable investment manager.”
