Ryan Williams joins the British Heart Foundation Committee (Jersey Branch) as a Human Resources professional, with great experience in chairing numerous Committees.
He is currently the Chairman of The Jersey Green Room Club; Jersey DIPS (Disabled in Pools) and Chairs the Performing Arts Development Group (Jersey). Ryan holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and is a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). During ‘lockdown’ he has completed his Level 7 Extended Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Ryan commented: “I am delighted to join the British Heart Foundation (BHF) as Chairman and look forward to working with the Committee in building the charity’s presence, whilst fundraising for new vital research. 2020 was certainly a challenging year for all charities, especially with the impact of Covid-19 cutting the ability to fund new research for BHF in half.
“The Committee have some new initiatives and ideas for fundraising events, both virtually (for now) and face to face when we get back to some form of normality during 2021.
“I would also like to welcome Charlotte McCann who joins the Committee as Treasurer, I know with her skills and experience within Business Development will benefit BHF. Let’s beat heartbreak forever.
Charlotte commented: “I look very much forward to working with the Committee to raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation. I am hoping to increase the presence of this charity in Jersey and raising funds for a great cause despite the current environment, with a focus on virtual events and health and well-being”.
During the month of February, the British Heart Foundation are doing their ’60 for 60 challenge’. As 2021 celebrates BHF’s 60th anniversary, to help celebrate and to support raising awareness and funds not only for the BHF but also for Heart Week (8th to 14th February), BHF is asking people to walk or run 60 miles during February to raise funds for BHF Jersey.
