Jacksons is helping ‘drive home’ the importance of checking your breasts regularly.
The local motor dealership has sponsored some new on-the-road advertising for Breast Cancer Support Jersey.
Three different adverts including one with a reminder to ‘Touch, Look, Check’ will be carried on a fleet of Liberty buses along with some Jersey Post vans to highlight the work of the local charity.
As well as raising awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection, the charity offers emotional, practical and financial support for islanders with breast cancer.
Tracey Carter, Charity Governor said, “Breast Cancer Support Jersey would like to thank Jacksons for their sponsorship of our local bus and postal van advertising campaign. The campaign has been designed to promote the importance of early detection and also provides us with an opportunity to promote the emotional and financial support we offer to patients and families during diagnosis, treatment and recovery.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, Andrew Searle, General Manager at Jacksons said, “This is a fantastic local charity set up by women who themselves have experienced breast cancer and we’re delighted to be supporting them this year.”
This summer Jacksons also sponsored the new Pink Promenade Sunset Walk which saw walkers set off along St Aubin’s Bay dressed in pink and raise an amazing £35,000.
