Employees at Carey have access to two company e-bikes as part of the business’s plans to promote a healthy lifestyle and reduce carbon footprint levels.

Carey is a corporate, fund and private wealth specialist that employs over 60 people and has clients in more than 50 countries.  The business is based at Elizabeth House on Les Ruette Brayes in St Peter Port. The e-bikes, which are available for use during the working day for people to attend meetings and run errands or to use during break periods, are intended to help reduce cars on the Guernsey roads.

Sara Bourne, deputy managing director and member of the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) group, said: “E-bikes are becoming increasingly popular in Guernsey and practically, they offer a very efficient way of moving around the town area. By providing this opportunity, we’re encouraging more people to try out cycling because of the added electronic support the bikes offer compared to traditional bicycles they help tackle the hills in Guernsey.”

“Our people often get out and about during the day for different work-related and personal reasons. We’re offering these bikes along with safety helmets as part of our ESG focus to benefit people’s wellbeing and the wider environment too.”
