Orchid Communications (Orchid) has been named ‘Best Public Relations Firm of 2020’ in the Channel Islands in the SME UK Enterprise Awards.
The SME UK Enterprise Awards are organised by SME News, one of the UK’s leading digital business publications with over 75,000 subscribers across all industry. Started in 2017, the Awards champion the work and entrepreneurial drive of small to medium enterprises across the country and welcome nominations from all market sectors.
Orchid is a communications and brand campaign agency. The business was founded by Sam Watts in 2004 and has grown from a small business operating from the loft of her house to a team of 10 Public Relations, marketing and design professionals based in a creative studio in the centre of St Helier. In December 2019 a new office was opened in Frome, Somerset to build business in Bristol and Bath, one of the fastest growing creative and entrepreneurial regions in the UK.
Orchid Director Allan Watts said, “This has been a challenging year for everyone, but especially smaller businesses who have had to bend and adapt to the changing circumstances. We are very lucky to have a strong business, a clear vision and above all a very talented team servicing a portfolio of top-quality clients. I think we also have an entrepreneurial spirit and while we don’t know who nominated us, this Award is recognition of our commitment to building our business for the benefit of our clients and our staff.”
SME Enterprise Award nominees have to demonstrate to a panel of judges evidence of extensive expertise and skills, dedication to customer service and client satisfaction with an on-going commitment to excellence and innovation.
SME Enterprise Awards Coordinator Jessie Wilson said, “SME News prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition. We would like to congratulate all our 2020 SME Award winners, who continue to be the backbone of British industry even in these testing times.”
